The Chicago White Sox have a lot of roster holes to fill.

They need to address the revolving door at second base and right field. The organization also needs to add between two to four starting pitchers. The team needs a closer and some help in the bullpen.

It would not hurt to add a catcher. There could be more spots to fill on the roster as general manager Chris Getz has declared no one is untouchable.

Outside of Luis Robert Jr., it is pretty easy for Getz to not like what he has to work with. It does not help Getz that ownership wants him to turn around the franchise quickly.

He should have some money to work with this offseason as the team currently only has five players under contract and six players arbitration eligible.

We know that owner Jerry Reinsdorf is going to put a self-imposed salary cap on the team. Reinsdorf has already said the team is not going to chase top free agents like Shohei Ohtani. So it will be another offseason where the Chicago White Sox have to shop at the clearance rack.

There is still a chance to get something good out of that section just like there is a chance you can find a nice shirt marked down at Kohl’s.

There are five players Getz could bring to the Southside that can improve the club.

Four of these potential additions might not be enough to propel the Sox to the playoffs, but these players could improve the clubhouse and the team’s defense. The other possible acquisition will help the rotation.
