Trade Two

The Chicago Cubs could need to give up a ton of prospects to get a guy like Tyler Glasnow.

The Chicago Cubs are a very good team looking to take a big step in 2024. With their new manager, they might really be looking for someone good to join their rotation to help with starting pitching.

What good is Craig Counsell if you aren’t going to supplement him with good players to use? Tyler Glasnow is one of those good players that the Cubs should be trying to get. Of course, to get a player this good, the Cubs would have to send away something of value.

Although they might not be as highly ranked as the guys in the first mock trade here, sending three notable prospects back for Tyler Glasnow is risky but probably worth it.

Matt Mervis, Caleb Killian, and Brennen Davis are all young studs looking for a full-time role on an MLB team. It just might be hard for them on a team like the Chicago Cubs.

In the case of Davis, he has had some setbacks but he is ready to be an MLB guy. A team like the Rays might really be able to help him.
