The Chicago Bears are a really bad football team. You can tell that when you watch the game that they played against the New Orleans Saints. The Saints are respectable but they are nowhere near the top of the league in terms of their play.

New Orleans is now 5-4 and challenging for a playoff spot but that is because their division (and the NFC in general) isn’t as dominant. You can tell by the way that they play that they aren’t magnificent either.

That makes the Bears even more frustrating because it shows just how far away they are. They lost this game by a final score of 24-17. The Saints could not pull away which makes it clear that they aren’t all that special either but they are certainly a step ahead of the Bears. This game should not have been as close as it was.

The Saints would get beaten badly by any of the top teams in the NFL but they certainly can handle the middle of the pack or bottom-tier teams. The Bears need to get to this level first at a minimum if they want to ever become true contenders.

The Chicago Bears were not good on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.

It has been a long time since the Bears won a regular season game in New Orleans too which added a storyline to this game that the Bears couldn’t correct. We can only hope that the Bears are competitive next time they take a trip down there.

In this loss, the Chicago Bears had a few players play well and they had a few players lose some stock. These are the two biggest winners and two biggest losers from the loss to New Orleans on Sunday:
