The Chicago Bears should be going for a second-round pick in the draft.

Imagine if the Bears can get a second-round pick instead of a third-round pick for Darnell Mooney. If that is the offer on the table from a team like the Chiefs, the Bears should take it and run.

The Chiefs should consider making a move like that. Mooney is very good and is always willing to do what his team needs to win. If he is a number one, he’d love it. If he is a number three for the betterment of the team, he’s all in.

It may be risky to move a second but the Chiefs need him badly. In a lot of ways, it should be a no-brainer for either side. Mooney can help that weak WR room take a step forward.

What does a team like the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs need a second-round pick for? Mooney would help them a lot more than that pick in the short term. With Patrick Mahomes in his prime, every year is sacred.

What is the difference between a second a third round pick? Well, the idea is you’ll get a way better player in the second round. It’s not always guaranteed but the talent does drop off in terms of projected ceiling as you get into the later rounds. The Bears would love more second-round picks for sure.
