The Chicago Blackhawks are the Connor Bedard show in 2023-24. They should be. He is their best player and comes with a lot of hype as the number-one overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. He is considered to be a generational prospect amongst the likes of Sidney Crosby and Connor McDavid.

One player who has been helping Connor Bedard grow his game is Taylor Hall. He wasn’t a generational prospect but was certainly an elite one. He was the number one pick in the 2010 NHL Draft by the Edmonton Oilers.

He is also associated with the number one overall pick in a lot of ways. He has, by the forces of nature, played with the current number-one pick in his rookie season so many times.

Taylor was teammates with Nail Yakupov, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Connor McDavid, Nico Hischier, Jack Hughes, and Connor Bedard throughout his career. That is a lot of pedigree and a lot of skill there. He has helped all of them in different ways.

The Chicago Blackhawks need Taylor Hall back as soon as possible.

Hall is also a Hart Trophy winner as the MVP of the league which is incredibly impressive to have one of those. He has lived up to everything he was supposed to be. Now, he is at the point in his career where he is trying to set himself up for a strong finish.

Both of Connor Bedard’s goals that he has in his NHL career were assisted by Taylor Hall. Although he isn’t quite his Hart Trophy-winning self, he is still capable of scoring some goals and making good plays for his teammates. Bedard has benefited from that.

There is some more injury news surrounding Hall and it is a lot of bad luck. He has already come back from an injury this season and it was sooner than expected. An Injured Reserve stint wasn’t needed but it will be needed this time.

Hall is out with a shoulder injury. Getting hurt not long after coming back because of a good hit is just bad luck. From here, Hall just has to wait for it to get better and be back as soon as he can. Hopefully, he doesn’t push it to come back too early. Bedard needs him.

This is a player that also helps the team as a whole in addition to Bedard. He pushes the left wings into their proper slot and he brings some extra experience and leadership to the team. It will be good to get him back whenever that happens. Hopefully, he can run into some good luck going forward.
