The Chicago Bears could be eyeballing another good Texas quarterback.

The Chicago Bears could look to Texas to solve their quarterback problem if they do in fact think Justin Fields is an issue. If they decide to move on, Quinn Ewers is someone who could be considered in the middle of the first round.

If the Bears do want Ewers and he is projected to go in the teens, the Bears can trade back and get him as they will have two top-five picks. That actually applies to pretty much every other QB in the draft not named Caleb Williams or Drake Maye.

Ewers plays for a very good Texas team that seems to be getting better and better with each passing season. Now, he is getting ready to be drafted into the NFL. With Arch Manning behind him, it should be an interesting next few years in that program.

Ewers has the tools that can translate to the NFL but there is for sure some development that will be taking place. Whatever team drafts him will be happy to do it but he isn’t coming in and becoming Patrick Mahomes right away. The Bears may be fine with an idea like that though.

All three of these players have a chance to become good NFL players. Some may think that they have less of a chance if they come to the Bears. However, they are the only ones that can change that reputation. We’ll see.
