Losers

Not everybody in the Chicago Bears organization is a winner after this one.

1. Justin Fields

There are going to be some people that don’t want to hear this but it is starting to become more and more clear. Justin Fields is not the guy. He doesn’t help the offense move the ball well on a consistent basis. He got hurt on a play and he held the ball for six seconds.

Tyson Bagent came in and went 1-0 to start his NFL career. Bagent might not be the guy either but it is clear after seeing the Bears without Fields that he isn’t either. There is no point in settling for bad QB play just because of a guy’s recognition in the past.

If Caleb Williams or one of the other draft-eligible players can help the Bears win games more than Fields in the minds of the front office, it should be a no-brainer.

2. Larry Borom

Sometimes, watching the Chicago Bears line is just not fun. Bagent had a good game but he wasn’t as protected as he could have been. Larry Borom was part of the problem and didn’t do much of any good in this game.

In addition to not being able to hold a block, he got himself into penalty trouble as well. One of his penalties literally killed any momentum that the Bears were building on the drive. They really need to fix this line as the years go on and get rid of the guys who just can’t play.

The Chicago Bears mostly played well in this one but a 2-5 team will always have things to work on. Hopefully, they keep doing just that and start to turn the ship around. Nobody is saying anything about the playoffs. Just look like a professional football team again.
