Milwaukee Brewers

The Brewers had a quick stay in the playoffs because of their inconsistent lineup. Their rotation took a big hit when ace pitcher Brandon Woodruff needed shoulder surgery. He is set to miss most, if not all of the 2024 season.

The Crew have stayed competitive with a strong starting rotation.

Their other ace, Corbin Burnes, is set to be a free agent after next season. The Brewers could choose to trade him.

They could push their chips to the center and go all-in for the World Series title that has eluded them. The Brewers have been to the playoffs in five of the past six seasons.

They might be more inclined to call about slugger Eloy Jimenez. Adding an arm with two years of club control is the type of deal the Brewers like to make.

They have young outfielders to dangle. Their top prospect, Jackson Chourio, is a phenom and the No. 2 prospect in all of baseball.

The phone will probably be hung up if Getz asks for him. They do need to make room for him eventually. Christian Yelich is tying up left field. That leaves one or two spots in the outfield and the Crew still has Garrett Mitchell, Joey Wiemer, and Sal Frelick.

Wiemer can cover a lot of ground in the outfield although his swing needs to be redone. Mitchell missed most of the season with an injury. Frelick might be a cornerstone piece.

Still, the Brewers have a deep system to work with and a need to have someone to team up with Burnes and then replace him.
