The Chicago Blackhawks are getting ready for a huge game on Monday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs. After a big “Hockey Night In Canada” game on Saturday night against the Montreal Canadiens, they are right over to Ontario now to take on the Leafs who are one of the best.

Obviously, Toronto is the biggest hockey market in the world. There are going to be a lot of people there going for soundbites from Bedard both before and after the game. He has faced the media before but nothing will beat his first trip to Toronto.

The Leafs are off to a hot start. They haven’t lost yet and their superstars are leading the way. Auston Matthews is at the head of it all as he is their best player by far. He also has a hat trick in each of the first two games so he is on fire.

Connor Bedard draws a lot of comparisons to Matthews because of the goal-scoring skill. He also gets the Connor McDavid/Sidney Crosby treatment as well which is fine because of how great they are but he might resemble Matthews’ style just a bit more.

The Chicago Blackhawks are going to face the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday.

This will be the first time that the two face off in the NHL which should be so fun. Both of them are going to answer questions about it while being the two marquee players leading the matchup. It should be incredibly theatre.

Bedard has one goal and two assists through his first three games which is not bad at all for being a teenager. He may not be a 100 point guy just yet but he is well on his way. As long as he plays well this season, the Blackhawks will be happy no matter how the rest goes.

Matthews scored 100 goals over the last two seasons and has firmly become known as the best in the business. He won’t score a hatty every night but the Blackhawks certainly don’t want to be the team that gives up a third in a row for him.

Both teams need to be aware of where the other star is at all times. If they don’t, they’ll be fishing for the puck out of the twine in their net. Of all the early games so far this season, there is a chance that this one tops them all in terms of entertainment value. There is plenty of firepower leading the way.
