Connor Bedard is going to be the next big superstar for the Chicago Blackhawks.
Sometimes, you just save the best for last. All of the players on this list are amazing and winning a Stanley Cup is impossible without great depth like that. However, winning a Stanley Cup is even harder than that if you don’t have a complete superstar to lead the way.
Connor Bedard is going to be that guy for the Chicago Blackhawks. They selected him with the first overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft after winning the Draft Lottery back in the spring. He looked incredible in the preseason after a dominant performance everywhere he went in his draft year.
From the Regina Pats, to Team Canada at the World Juniors, to the Chicago Blackhawks, he gets to play for some pretty amazing teams in the span of a year. The hope is that he is amongst the greatest to ever play the game.
Bedard is as hyped as any prospect who came to the NHL. Connor McDavid and Sidney Crosby lived up to the hype right away and he is hoping to do the same as he is on their level in terms of skill at this age and hype. It should be so fun to watch.
The Chicago Blackhawks are not going to be all that good of a team but watching these prospects, in addition to a handful of others that weren’t mentioned, is going to be so much fun. Hopefully, they all have a really good season.
