3. Lucas Patrick

Lucas Patrick is not worthy of starting for the Chicago Bears right now.

It wouldn’t be very hard for Lucas Patrick to be benched either. He is not good at what he does and he needs to be held accountable as well. Larry Borom shouldn’t sit and then people think that Patrick deserves to play either.

The Bears should be doing whatever they can to get different looks at an offensive line in hopes that they can finally figure out who goes best where. It is hard to see Patrick figuring into that at all.

It is unclear who else would play center but there have to be better people out there for the Bears to consider. Even if it is someone from another team to bring in after this Thursday night game and then mini-bye.

Against the Broncos, Patrick allowed three pressures and a sack. This is just another day at the offense for one of the worst centers in the NFL. Justin Fields gets no benefit from being under a guy like this.

It is a true shame that we are talking about benching these guys. They all work hard and are nice people but they don’t deserve to play if they are consistently this awful. The Bears have lost 14 straight games and that streak may not end for a while. It is time for changes.
