The Chicago Bears seem to be just about done with WR Chase Claypool. They acquired the former Notre Dame star in 2022 as part of a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers. It felt like a smart move at the time but it turned out to be a disaster.

The Bears made the trade and it felt right for a couple of reasons. For one, they were adding another talented player to surround Justin Fields. You always want to make sure that your star young quarterback has help.

They also wanted to keep Claypool away from the Green Bay Packers. At the time, they had no clue that it would end up being the last year with Aaron Rodgers there playing quarterback for them. They also didn’t know that Claypool would basically become a bad player.

Now, Green Bay has to be laughing because even though they don’t have Rodgers anymore, they are still a good team. They also don’t have to deal with what has become a headache of a situation with Claypool.

The Chicago Bears are having some issues with Chase Claypool at this moment.

On Monday, Bears head coach Matt Eberflus went on ESPN 1000 to talk on “Kap and JHood”. He confirmed that Claypool will not be around this week after being a healthy scratch in Sunday’s loss to the Denver Broncos.

It is clear that trading this guy is the best path forward for the Chicago Bears. There might not be a lot of teams that would give up a ton for him but someone might take a shot. These three teams should seriously consider giving him a chance:
