The Chicago Bears must fire Matt Eberflus right now

The Chicago Bears are a complete joke. It is honestly so sad to see this team be so pathetic because of what they mean to this town. Nothing about them, offense, defense, or special teams, is good these days. As a result of this on Sunday, they had one of the worst losses in the history of the team.

In the aforementioned loss to the Denver Broncos, they made it 14 straight losses, an NFL record 14 straight losses in which 25+ points or more were given up, and they tied a franchise record for lead blown. Of course, this came against a Broncos team that gave up 70 points the week prior.

Part of the problem is the quarterback, part of the problem is the defense, and part of the problem is coaching. In the case of this game, the coaching was the most notable issue. In fact, with the mistakes made combined with all of the previously mentioned embarrassing stats, head coach Matt Eberflus needs to be fired right now.

There was an opportunity to potentially end the losing streak against this horrible Broncos team but they blew it. Despite blowing a 21-point lead, they still could have found a way to win. Late in the game, Eberflus made a terrible decision that may have cost his team.

The Chicago Bears need to get rid of Matt Eberflus as soon as possible.

The Bears, tied at 28, got within field goal range but reached fourth down. Instead of taking a 31-28 lead, they went for it which resulted in a turnover on downs. Denver then marched down the field and then hit what would be a game-winning field goal.

It was one of the biggest mistakes made by a Chicago Bears coach this season. That, along with everything else, proves that he is not fit to be the head coach of this football team. He needs to go right now.

The Chicago Bears don’t like to fire people in the middle of the season. It is time to fix that mistake because Eberflus needs to go right now. It won’t save 2023 at all but it might save their franchise going forward. It is a deed that needs to be done ASAP.

Why don’t they fire coaches mid-season? Why do they do anything the way that they do? All of their philosophies are usually wrong so now would be a great time to change it up. There is absolutely no reason to keep him around for another day.

You mostly need an offensive-minded head coach in the NFL to succeed. A lot of the top teams in the league are set up that way. Eberflus is a defensive-minded guy and the defense of the Bears is as bad as it’s ever been so he isn’t even helping on the one area of expertise he has.

Ryan Poles needs to make this move right now. Eberflus shouldn’t even be in the building on Monday morning. You know they won’t make this move but they should absolutely do it.
