The Chicago Bears are the worst team in the NFL right now

The Chicago Bears took on the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday and you can just about guess how it went. You know it is bad when Taylor Swift being in a press box is the biggest story that came from it. It was awesome to see her there supporting Travis Kelce.

As far as football, there wasn’t much good going on for the Bears. The Chiefs ended up winning the game by a final score of 41-10. It was an absolute destruction of the Bears by the Chiefs. Yes, the Chiefs are the defending Super Bowl champions so they are one of the best in the league.

Patrick Mahomes had his way with this terrible Bears defense which was expected. However, he shouldn’t be that dominant against any team. The Bears basically let him do whatever he wanted. He went 24-33 with 272 yards and three touchdowns (no picks).

As expected, the Chiefs benched Mahomes later in the game because of the fact that they were winning 41-0. Blaine Gabbert came in for the rest of the game for Kansas City. Mahomes would have had one of those all-time games if his team wasn’t out in front so large.

The Chicago Bears are as bad as they can be at this point in time.

On the other side, Fields was awful again. He went 11/22 with 99 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. He also ran 11 times and had 47 yards. It is becoming clear that he is not the guy for the future with each passing game.

It certainly isn’t all his fault as the coaching and defense are terrible but he is not getting any better. He doesn’t read the defense well and he does nothing to help make the team better.

You don’t have to expect the Bears to beat the Chiefs. Very few teams do. However, you can expect them not to be embarrassed on this level. The Arizona Cardinals are a terrible team too and they found a way to beat a great Dallas Cowboys team.

With the way that the first two games went for the Bears, seeing them get dismantled like this again is a bad look. Once again, we are sitting here wondering what went wrong three weeks into the season.

After watching this game, it is clear that the Chicago Bears are the worst team in the NFL. There is nobody that has looked as bad up to this point. There are some bad teams in the league but they are not the Bears. We’ll see what the fallout is for a game like this.
