The Chicago Blackhawks are officially past the days of their Stanley Cup dynasty. All of the players that helped them do that are gone. Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, and Duncan Keith have paved the way for a kid like Connor Bedard to take over.

Connor Bedard now highlights the roster just released for the 2023 Chicago Blackhawks training camp. After years and years of building a generational resume, he was the number-one pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. The Blackhawks won the lottery to earn the right to draft him.

They had the third-best odds to get him and now he is there. He will be the face of the franchise for the next decade or more. Even though the Blackhawks are not expected to be great this year, they will be far more excited.

The Chicago Blackhawks have a ton of excitement with Connor Bedard at camp.

There are some other things to be excited about when it comes to this roster besides Bedard. Taylor Hall, Corey Perry, and Nick Foligno are all there looking to help this team in different ways. Hall will certainly play in the top six while Perry and Foligno try to bring some depth leadership.

Tyler Johnson, Jason Dickinson, Philipp Kurashev, and Andreas Athanasiou amongst others are veteran forwards who should make up the starting lineup on opening day as well. On defense, familiar names like Seth Jones, Connor Murphy, and Nikita Zaitsev are there.

Tons of young skaters besides Bedard are coming in as well. Guys like Colton Dach, Nolan Allan, Ethan del Mastro, Wyatt Kaiser, and Kevin Korchinski are there as well which is very exciting. All of these guys help this team have such prospect depth. It will be fun to see who does what in an effort to make the team.

In goal, Petr Mrazek is the veteran who should see tons of time. Arvid Soderblom and Drew Commesso are the two young guys that make this exciting. Training camp will determine a lot when it comes to who does what this season. Jaxson Stauber and Mitchell Weeks are there as well.

Hockey is back and a lot of eyes are going to be on the Blackhawks because of this Connor Bedard-led roster. It should be fun to see what comes of this season as they continue building for the future. With all of the other great prospects there with him, they are in a good spot.
