Not time to push the panic button yet, but the Chicago Cubs have lost their second series in a row.

The Cubs went into Coors Field looking for some insurance wins to keep the second wild card spot in the NL. Previously, the Cubs faced the Arizona Diamondbacks and lost the series at home 3-1. Currently, after this loss, the Cubs are still holding a 1.5-game lead over the Diamondbacks and are 2 games behind the Philadelphia Phillies.

Pete Crow Armstrong had his debut on the show yesterday. He is still looking for his Major League Base knock but did record a RBI.  With an amazing catch in yesterday’s game, he has the potential to be a solid player as he is touted as the Cubs’ Top Prospect.

The Chicago Cubs have now lost 5 of their last 7 games for the first time since early July.

In my opinion, after watching Crow-Armstrong play in Triple-A, he was ready for the big leagues. His stats were decent with 124 hits, 20 HRs, and 92 RBI. It looks like he does need some adjusting to The Show and to calm his nerves.

Seiya Suzuki in September stayed hot with a dinger in the second game of the series.

Another notable player was Dansby Swanson has been solid with at least a hit in each game of the series.  Former Cub, Kris Bryant hits his second home run in as many games. Bryant is still capable of showing flashes of being the MVP player that he was in 2016.

The Cubs begin a three-game series against the Diamondbacks on Friday in Arizona and this is a must-win series. There are only 15 games left in the season so it’s time to put the pedal to the metal!
