It is hockey time! The Chicago Blackhawks have had a very fun off-season. There have been good trades, free-agent signings, and most importantly, the 2023 NHL Draft which changed this organization forever.

Of course, with the first pick, the Hawks selected Connor Bedard. He is supposed to be the next generational talent in the NHL.

Bedard combines an incredibly unique shot with some really good skating and offensive awareness to create tons of chances for himself and even his teammates.

This could be a kid that scores 700 or more goals and has 1500 points as a result. The Hawks are lucky to have won this particular lottery.

Connor Bedard is going to change the Chicago Blackhawks for a very long time.

Media Time

Connor Bedard was a part of NHL Media Day on Tuesday. He got to participate in a lot of different activities.

That included a sit-down with Sidney Crosby. Of course, Sid knows exactly what Bedard is going through as he went through it himself when he was that age.

Not only did Crosby go through it, he thrived and became one of the greatest players who ever lived.

These two will play against each other on opening night and all the fun will be over then but this was really cool to see.

Seth Jones was there as well

Connor Bedard was not the only Blackhawks player there either. Seth Jones was a participant as one of the leaders of this team.

Jones is getting ready for his 11th year in the NHL and he hopes that it is a great one for him. He is going to be a part of it if they become good again soon so he might as well be all in.

Black Jerseys

According to a report from Mario Tirabassi of CHGO, Danni Wirtz and Jamie Faulkner confirmed that the black jerseys will be making a return to the catalog.

Of course, the Hawks have had a black jersey in the Winter Classic but fans have been wanting the normal logo on a black jersey back for a while now.

It wasn’t specific on when this was happening but it did say that it would be soon. We can only hope it is this upcoming season.

Training Camp

Next up is the NHL Training Camp. Every team is going to do their best in order to make their team better and be ready for the 2023-24 season.

There are a lot of challenges that lie ahead for the Blackhawks in this camp but it is an exciting time. It will be fun to see how things progress as we head toward Opening Night.
