Yannick Ngakoue needs to make a big impact for the Chicago Bears in 2023.

The Chicago Bears had the worst pass rush in the National Football League last year. When you lose guys like Robert Quinn, Akiem Hicks, and Khalil Mack amongst others, it is hard to just be okay right away.

This was a big reason that they ended with the worst record in the sport. If you can’t get to the other team’s quarterback, you might as well give up.

The Bears didn’t do all that much to address that specific problem for most of the off-season. However, they clearly knew it was a much-needed upgrade.

They went out and got Yannick Ngakoue late in the off-season and he is expected to be a very good player for them as he has been with other teams in his NFL career.

Ngakoue needs to open strong against the Packers. With Jordan Love beginning the year as the undisputed number-one quarterback in Green Bay, the Bears need to make him uncomfortable.

This is the type of player that can make that happen. If he has a really strong game in his Bears debut, there is no doubt that the defense’s numbers will reflect that.

Hopefully, everyone on the team is as excited about this game as the fans are. With these three leading the way, we can only hope that they finally win one against them.
