2. Boston Bruins

Jonathan Toews would look amazing with the Boston Bruins in 2023-24.

During his prime, Jonathan Toews was one of the best two-way centers in the National Hockey League.

There were plenty of players around his level but only one was truly better always. That player was Patrice Bergeron of the Boston Bruins.

Toews and Bergeron were compared a lot early on. Toews had a bit more team success as he won all three Stanley Cup Final chances he had.

Bergeron only won one out of three but he was a better overall player in most seasons. He won the Selke Trophy an NHL record six times. Toews only won it one time which is still something to be proud of.

Over the summer, Bergeron announced his retirement from the National Hockey League. Not long after that, his second-line center behind him in David Krejci also retired.

The Boston Bruins really need some help at center. Pavel Zacha and Charlie Coyle are slated to be the top two guys at this moment in time.

Of course, Toews coming in at some point this season would be really cool to see. He wouldn’t replace Bergeron but he’d bring a diet version of what Bergeron brought. It is something for both sides to truly consider.
