These Chicago Bears players are making a case for a roster spot in this game.

There should be plenty of snaps for players trying to make the team get another chance to impress the Chicago Bears coaching staff and front office.

Rookie quarterback Tyson Bagent is trying to prove he should be on the roster as the team’s third quarterback. The undrafted free agent out of Division II Shepherd University has impressed in camp.

Although, he is probably destined for the practice squad this year. Trestan Ebner and Travis Homer are battling for the final running back spot.

Homer played better than Ebner last Saturday, so last year’s sixth-round pick needs some big runs to get ahead of Homer.

Edge rusher Jalen Harris posted a sack and a half against the Titans. The undrafted free agent could make the practice squad, but if he keeps sacking the quarterback, maybe he can convince the team to put him on the main roster.

Linebacker Micah Baskerville is trying to be this preseason’s Jack Sanborn. The undrafted rookie free agent out of LSU had an impressive game last Saturday and is hoping to continue to impress much like Sanborn did last year.

Then you got Jaylon Jones, Josh Blackwell, Michael Ojemudia, Kindle Vildor, and Greg Stroman Jr. battling it for the final cornerback roster spots.

Jones should be on the team with his strong special teams play. He was outstanding last Saturday. Ojemudia also had a solid game.

Vildor was the starter last year, but injuries and inconsistency have him buried on the depth chart. He will need to make some plays to prove why he should stay on the team.

Finally, A.J. Thomas and Adrian Colbert are making cases for the final roster spots at safety. It will be interesting to see who continues to play well to continue their NFL dream.
