The Chicago Blackhawks are a team looking to improve. They have a lot of work to do but the clock is ticking now that they are bringing in Connor Bedard.

They expect him to be an elite player for a long time as they should. However, they need to make sure he hits the ground running in the NHL which can be difficult for teenagers.

Having a good goaltender can make a lot of players feel good about their games because their mistakes won’t lead to as many goals for the opposition.

If every mistake Bedard made ended up in the back of Chicago’s net, the confidence could be shaken a bit. Of course, he is going to put up tons of points regardless.

There are a few good goalies that could be had on the trade market right now if the Hawks did want to make a move.

A few of them would be short-lived but some of them could help them out for a while. These are the three goalies to consider trading for:

. G. Winnipeg Jets. Connor Hellebuyck. 37. player. 107

Connor Hellebuyck would mask a lot of the Chicago Blackhawks’ problems.

This option might be a bit unlikely because Connor Hellebuyck probably wants to go to a team Stanley Cup ready and the Blackhawks are not that.

However, if he wants to play with Bedard and see if he can help them become an elite team, that would be pretty cool.

He only has a little bit of time left on his current contract but will be looking for a raise with his next one.

The Hawks could be that team and lock in a goalie for a long time or just keep him on a shorter-term basis.

Again, Hellebuyck might not be into that on a team like the Hawks but it is something fun to think about. He is one of the five best goalies in the game so if he is truly available, every team should be checking in on the price.
