The Chicago Blackhawks should trade Tyler Johnson to a good team.

The Tampa Bay Lightning were a powerhouse when they had Tyler Johnson on their team. He played the perfect role there for his skill set and that led to multiple deep playoff runs.

However, things are different with the Chicago Blackhawks. There was no Steven Stamkos, Nikita Kucherov, or Victor Hedman playing with him anymore.

He is still a very good player but hardly worth the long 5.0 million dollar contract that he had. Now, however, he only has it for one year remaining so another team might love some forward depth.

A team like the Boston Bruins might love to add a guy like Johnson to play some second or third-line center. The Blackhawks could retain on that deal for the entirety of the one season which could net them more in return as well.

It is something to consider if there is a contender out there willing to make a deal like this. All of these guys are still good players and the Hawks could move them while they have some value. Getting it done in August would be a plus.
