94. . D. Chicago Blackhawks. Connor Murphy. 5. player

Connor Murphy is someone that the Chicago Blackhawks could trade.

Connor Murphy is 30 years old which is a negative obviously. However, he is still in the middle of his prime which means he will still play good hockey for a handful of more years and possibly even longer. It is only a negative because it means he isn’t getting better anymore.

He also is much more affordable than Seth Jones. He has three years left on his contract at 4.4 million against the salary cap.

That is not a bad number at all for what he brings. Any Stanley Cup contender would love to add a guy like this.

He is a good number two but if he was a number three or four, that would be even better. A lot of teams would love a guy like that.

He also isn’t only a one-year rental but he also isn’t locked in for close to a decade. Whoever traded for him would be getting a very solid middle-of-the-pack defenseman for cheap and for a few years. If they could get a deal done for him soon, that would be great.
