Chicago Bears: 3 things Justin Fields can do to win MVP
The Chicago Bears have a lot of things going for them right now. They, by all accounts, had a fantastic off-season that should allow them to be a much better team in 2023.
There isn’t much room to go down as they were the worst team in the NFL during the 2022 season so they can only go up.
Yes, their team is getting better but football isn’t played on paper. They need to go out there and show people that they are getting better.
One thing that must happen for the Bears to be better is Justin Fields getting better. He took a big step in 2022 in terms of his running game but everything else needs improvement.
If he improves the other parts of his game, he can be an MVP candidate. In order for him to become an MVP candidate, these three things need to happen:
1. Passing improvement
Justin Fields needs to improve as a passer for the Chicago Bears in 2023.
Justin Fields did a very nice job with his legs in 2022. He made an impact that made people realize that he might actually become a productive quarterback.
The Chicago Bears would love for him to become a superstar though as he was originally projected to be which means he needs to improve his passing game.
When he was at Ohio State, he was a passing quarterback. It is amazing that his reputation has changed like this in the NFL. He can get back to being known as just a well-rounded quarterback if he gets that passing improvement down.
Would 3500 yards in 2023 be a great improvement? Yes, it would. If he does that, he should be well over 4000 all-purpose yards which get him into the MVP conversation. The weapons needed around him are there.
