Even when the Chicago White Sox win, they come out looking like losers.

You would not have known that the Sox won a weekend series against the Cleveland Guardians. That is because Tim Anderson and Jose Ramirez got into an all-out brawl on Saturday night that led to both benches being cleared.

Fights happen from time to time in baseball, but what makes this embarrassing is Ramirez knocked TA out with a hard right.

Now Tim Anderson lives in the same lore as Robin Ventura, only Nolan Ryan never let Ventura land a punch.

Ramirez’ hard right that took down TA was something you would see in the UFC, complete with Michael Kopech looking like Herb Dean when he pulled Jose away from Anderson. All that was missing was Joe Rogan screaming “Woah, it is over.”

Anderson became a running joke on whatever they are calling Twitter these days.

This is just another example of the joke of a franchise the Chicago White Sox have become the last three seasons.

The White Sox were supposed to be in the middle of their contention window. They were going to win multiple championships with the collection of talent the franchise accumulated during a massive rebuild.

Instead, the window got slammed shut on the organization’s fingers.

Ever since Tim Anderson smashed the game-winning home run–back when TA hit home runs–in the 2021 Field of Dreams game, the team went downhill.

The Chicago White Sox managed to win just one playoff game in 2021 before being easily eliminated by the Houston Astros.

Then they were the most disappointing team in all of baseball last year complete with former manager Tony La Russa making the team look foolish.

Now the team is a train wreck on track to lose 100 games.

General Manager Rick Hahn envisioned multiple championship parades, instead, he got a circus.

The team has so much dysfunction that it came as a shock that the organization’s top baseball executive, Kenny Williams, actually executed a trade.

That trade Kenny Williams pulled off was sending one of the team’s best power hitters in Jake Burger for a lottery-ticket pitching prospect.

The Miami Marlins turned around and marketed Burger to draw fans to their empty ballpark–something the Sox never did and Burger was loved by the fanbase. Hey, Guaranteed Rate Field at least has the “Bell of Shame” you can ring when you see someone putting ketchup on a hot dog.

Not knowing who is in charge of the Chicago White Sox is the main reason the team is a clown show right now.

Owner Jerry Reinsdorf forced La Russa upon the organization and torpedoed all the good vibes built up after the 2020 season.

Hahn is supposed to be running the baseball operations, but he still has a boss between him and the owner. Kenny Williams never speaks to the media anymore so we have no clue who has the final say in the organization.

Plus, you got an owner who refuses to spend the money necessary to win a World Series. On top of that, you got a general manager who is incapable of constructing a fundamentally sound roster within the team’s budget constraints.

They might as well bring back Ribbie and Roobarb to play second base and right field. We are going on a decade-plus now of the franchise still trying to find a long-term starter at those two positions.

All this fight did was show that if the Southside’s version of the Three Stooges is running things, the Sox will never be a serious organization.

Thankfully the trade deadline has passed so you do not have to waste your time on this organization.
