127. . SP. San Diego Padres. Blake Snell. 4. player

Blake Snell would be perfect for the Chicago Cubs rotation going forward.

Blake Snell was incredible when he was with the Tampa Bay Rays early in his career. That included a Cy Young Award and a trip to the World Series.

He made his way over the the San Diego Padres where things have been a little bit up and down but mostly up. He is a. very good pitcher that might now be looking for a new team.

The Cubs would love to add a starting pitcher like Snell to the mix. He is someone that probably would be the game-one starter if the Cubs made it to the playoffs.

So far this season, Snell has a WAR of 3.3 thanks to his 2.50 ERA, 1.286 WHIP, and the fact that he has 158 strikeouts in 119.0 innings pitched. He very well could be in the Cy Young conversation by the end of the year.

If the Cubs are legitimately interested in being contenders this year, adding a starting pitcher is completely necessary. One of these guys would do wonders for them.
