Trade Three

It might take a complete haul to get Shohei Ohtani on the Chicago Cubs.

This is the type of trade demand that makes you wonder if it is worth it for the best baseball player of all time. There is a chance that a trade like this is all that the Angels take.

Pete Crow-Armstrong, Cade Horton, Ben Brown, and Kevin Alcantrara are the top four prospects in the organziation. All four of them are also MLB top-100 guys which means they have even more value. That is a lot to give up.

Caleb Killian is ranked as the number 17 guy in the Cubs’ farm but he still has a chance to be a solid major league contributor.

As for Marcus Stroman and Cody Bellinger, they are the two biggest trade chips that the Cubs have right now. Going to Los Angeles could be good extra pieces included in this trade to get Ohtani but again, is it worth it?

The earlier suggested trade packages might not be enough and this one might be way too much but it is worth it for Ohtani to certain teams. That is why this trade is going to be so complex. The Cubs are an unlikely trade destination for Ohtani but it is fun to think about what it might look like.
