3 former Chicago Bears that can still be signed in free-agency
3. N’Keal Harry
N’Keal Harry is someone the Chicago Bears could try to bring back for 2023.
Unlike Robert Quinn and Akiem Hicks, N’Keal Harry hasn’t played for another organization since his last game with the Chicago Bears.
However, he is still a former Bears player that isn’t under contract with anyone for the 2023 season. The Bears should consider bringing him back.
The wide receiver core around him is much different. Darnell Mooney is still there but Chase Claypool will be there for the full year and they now have DJ Moore.
Harry was drafted in the first round (32nd overall) by the New England Patriots in 2019. That’s right, the defending champion Patriots thought that highly of him.
Unfortunately, his career hasn’t panned out for a variety of different reasons. In 2022, he only played in 7 games where he made seven receptions and had one touchdown catch.
If he were added for depth in 2023, the Bears might be able to see him get a little bit more production while providing some depth.
There certainly would be less pressure at this point. It never hurts to add to the wide receiver room, especially for this franchise.
Obviously, nobody is singing anybody that is going to be a game-breaker a week before training camp otherwise they would have been signed by now. However, these former Bears players would help them in the short term in different ways.
