D. Minnesota Wild. Matt Dumba. 24. player. 98.

The Chicago Blackhawks could use some help on defense if they can get it.

The Chicago Blackhawks are a team looking for help in every area. They want to be as competitive as possible with Connor Bedard coming in on his rookie deal.

The biggest issue with the team right now is the defense. Seth Jones and Connor Murphy are the only two completely reliable players on the blue line right now.

That leaves a lot of room for issues throughout an 82-game schedule. Yes, with Connor Bedard and some of the other new faces up front, this defense is going to make it very hard to win games.

Adding someone like Matt Dumba would make things a tad bit easier for them to at least look okay. Three out of the six defensemen on any given night would at least be good NHL players if they made a signing like this.

Dumba also has a ton of experience with the Central Division as he has spent his whole career up to this point with the Minnesota Wild. He is probably the best defenseman still left on the market and the Hawks are one of a few teams that could actually pay him what he wants right now.
