The Chicago Blackhawks are well into the off-season. They have made some trades, made some free-agent signings, and made all of their draft picks.

Although they are a very long way away from being a playoff contender, they have taken a big step in the right direction.

The biggest reason for that is the fact that they won the 2023 NHL Draft Lottery. Connor Bedard is a Blackhawks player now and he is ready to work.

As July winds down and August approaches, the dry part of the NHL off-season is upon us. However, there are still some really good free agents out there.

These are three great free agents that the Chicago Blackhawks should still consider:

95. . RW. New York Rangers. Vladimir Tarasenko. 91. player

Chicago Blackhawks fans should be very familiar with Vladimir Tarasenko.

Wouldn’t it be ironic to see Vladimir Tarasenko come play for the Chicago Blackhawks? He was such a big rival during his career with the St. Louis Blues.

Seeing him play on the Hawks with Corey Perry would be insane when you think about both players’ history in the league.

The Blues traded Tarasenko to the New York Rangers last trade deadline season. It felt like a way for the Rangers to take a big step toward winning the Stanley Cup with their core.

Unfortunately for them, they lost in the first round to the New Jersey Devils in seven games. Now, Tarasenko is a free agent looking for a new team.

There were rumors about his signing this summer but then an agency change made things surrounding him a little more cloudy.

The Hawks should try and swoop in and grab him. He could play on the top line with Taylor Hall and Connor Bedard or he could help them create some top-six depth. Either way, the team gets better with him.
