The NFL Season is here and it could not come fast enough for Chicago Bears fans.

With both the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Cubs struggling to remain relevant this summer, the focus for many Chicago sports fans has shifted to the Bears.

Ok, so confession, the NFL season isn’t here yet…officially.

But, nine NFL teams reported to training camp on Tuesday and the Bears will be among the teams that start training camp practices next week.

In another sign that we getting close to the NFL season, the league announced the game times for all preseason games.

The Chicago Bears 2023 preseason game times have been announced.

The Chicago Bears will kick off their preseason schedule on Saturday, August 12 as they host the Tennessee Titans at Soldier Field at 12 pm CST.

The Titans recently made one of the more notable free agent signings since the conclusion of the 2023 NFL Draft in the signing of veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to a two-year deal.

Had it not been for the acquisition of wide receiver D.J. Moore in March, the Bears likely would have entertained the idea of pursuing Hopkins once he was released by the Arizona Cardinals.

With the NFL preseason being reduced to three games as opposed to four, Week 2 of the preseason is generally the game that teams view as the dress rehearsal for the regular season.

In Week 2, the Bears will travel to Indianapolis as they play the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday, August 19 at 6 pm CST. An interesting note about that game is that the Bears and Colts will participate in joint practices during the week leading up to the game.

The Bears’ preseason schedule will conclude on Saturday, August 26 with a home game against the Buffalo Bills at 12 pm CST. Don’t expect to see any regulars in that game as teams utilize the final game of the preseason to determine the final spots on the active roster.

To that end, NFL teams are allowed to hold off on preseason cuts until after their third and final preseason games.
