2. Matt Dumba

Matt Dumba is a candidate to come play defense with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Matt Dumba has been a solid defenseman in the National Hockey League. He isn’t dominating in points or anything like that but he has the ability to make an impact.

If he came to a team like the Chicago Blackhawks in 2023-24, he might see his numbers grow offensively a little bit as he’d certainly get more ice.

Dumba has had double-digit goal totals and he has had a 50-point season in the NHL. If the Hawks want to add a little bit of everything to the back end, Dumba could be their guy.

Of course, Dumba has also spent his entire career with the Minnesota Wild so he knows the Chicago Blackhawks well. He also knows the other teams in the Central Division well too so this could be an easy transition for him.

It will be interesting to see what he ends up getting when it comes to term and money. The Hawks, if the term is fair, should be thinking about him.
