NHL 2023 Mock Draft: Blackhawks lead a generational year
Getting the second overall pick would have helped any NHL team this year.
Adam Fantilli did everything he needed to do to be the first overall pick. The only thing he did wrong was be born in the same year as Connor Bedard.
He truly would be the number-one pick in a lot of drafts but he knows just how good Bedard is and has no problem going second.
The Anaheim Ducks are getting a great centerman here that is going to change their game by bringing a little bit of everything to the table at a high level.
Seeing him play with Trevor Zegras is going to be truly special but adding in other young studs like Troy Terry, Mason McTavish, and Jamie Drysdale amongst others should make them must-see TV.
It won’t be long before the Anaheim Ducks are a competitive team in the Pacific Division again. They have all of this young superstar talent on their roster and it is only a matter of time before it all clicks.
