NHL 2023 Mock Draft: Blackhawks lead a generational year
It is time for the 2023 NHL Draft! We waited all year for this moment as a generational draft is led by a generational player. The Chicago Blackhawks are officially on the clock.
Following them are the Anaheim Ducks, Columbus Blue Jackets, San Jose Sharks, and Montreal Canadiens to round out the top five.
It is going to be very interesting to see where each player ends up and how certain teams try to make the future of their franchise just a bit brighter. Hope springs eternal at the NHL Draft.
This is the final Da Windy City mock draft of the first round of the 2023 NHL Draft:
The Chicago Blackhawks are getting Connor Bedard first overall in 2023.
Connor Bedard is a true generational game-changer. He is one of the greatest prospects who ever lived and now he is ready to join the NHL.
Chicago won the lottery with the third-best odds and now they get to bring in the Regina Pats superstar that is good at everything.
He should hit the ground running in the NHL which is part of the reason this is such a huge day for Chicago. This is the type of player you expect to lead the franchise for a decade or more.
If Bedard lives up to his hype and stays healthy, he will score 700 goals and be a Hall of Fame-level player. If the Hawks are smart, more than one championship can be built around this kid.
It is going to be very exciting watching them play for the foreseeable future. They have already started to make moves around him to help his NHL development go smoothly. It won’t take long to see Chicago back in the playoffs following this.
