We are finally in the week of the 2023 NHL Draft. Big moves are going to be made over the next few days as the Chicago Blackhawks + the rest of the National Hockey League will see its 32 teams try to get better in the future.

This is one of the most important dates on the entire NHL calendar. It should be tons of fun to see which great prospects go to which great cities.

As for the Chicago Blackhawks, they are going to get a couple of different stars in this draft. As of right now, they have two first-round picks in addition to lots of other picks in other rounds.

For the sake of this mock draft, this one will have no trades and use the picks that the Blackhawks have right now. This mock draft lands them a very bright future:

Round One

The Chicago Blackhawks are going to get some great talent in round one.

1 -1: Connor Bedard

Connor Bedard is the sure-fire number-one pick in this draft. He has the potential to be one of the greatest players who ever lived. He is already one of the greatest prospects to ever play the game.

Chicago’s future will be heavily swayed in the right direction after they make this pick. The soon-to-be former Regina Pats forward is someone that could play center or wing. His ability to shoot the puck is very unique and it is complemented by a very good ability to make plays.

1 – 19: Gavin Brindley

The Chicago Blackhawks currently hold the 19th pick in the 2023 NHL Draft as well. It was given to them by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Brandon Hagel trade.

They should use this pick on forward Gavin Brindley. He is a gifted winger that played this past season for the University of Michigan. He will certainly go back and get more ice time there too as they are losing some very good players to the NHL.

He produces a lot of offense while being a very reliable defensive forward. He would be a great player to have to develop to see if he can eventually play alongside Connor Bedard.
