The Chicago Bears have not won a Super Bowl title since the 1985 NFL season and it is a victory that is still held in high regard by the team’s fan base.

The reason why the Bears’ 1985 Super Bowl victory in the year 2023 is still being hailed is because the team has not won one since. Yes, every Bears fan across the nation thought that was going to change in 2006 after Devin Hester returned the opening kickoff of the Super Bowl against the Indianapolis Colts for a touchdown but Colts quarterback Peyton Manning had other plans.

Misery has followed Bears fans since.

Perhaps, that is the reason why fans have attached themselves to the shoulders of current Bears’ quarterback Justin Fields. For the first time since the days of the punky QB known as Jim McMahon, fans think the Bears have a quarterback in Fields that is actually capable of leading them to Super Bowl glory.

Just don’t ask NFL’s official website.

NFL’s website ran a survey on Monday asking the question of what fan base deserves a Super Bowl title in 2023 and the Bears fans were completely ignored. Among the fanbases that were deemed the most deserving were the Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions, Dallas Cowboys, New York Jets, and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Honestly, there are three teams on this list that have no business being on the list instead of the Bears.

Chicago Bears fans were ignored in a search for the fan base that deserves a Super Bowl title.

The first team is the Lions. Dan Campbell is a fun head coach and sure, they might be media darlings because of their run on HBO’s “Hard Knocks” last season but these are still the Lions that we are talking about. The Lions are always going to Lion and that is just a sacred rule of the NFL.

The Cowboys? A team with a fan base that still believes jean shorts are the way of the future definitely does not deserve a Super Bowl title.

The Jets? We get it, Aaron Rodgers is in New York now and the NFL world is obsessed but that doesn’t warrant the fan base being entitled to a Super Bowl title.

Bears fans have suffered through Grocery Bagger after Grocery Bagger being utilized as their starting quarterback and have survived up until this point. Bears fans deserve a Super Bowl title.

ESPN thinks Justin Fields is not Jalen Hurts...yet. dark. Next
