1. Adin Hill

The Chicago Blackhawks could consider the defending champion goalie.

The Chicago Blackhawks could absolutely consider adding Adin Hill. He is now a free agent following his Stanley Cup victory with the Vegas Golden Knights.

Adin Hill spent the first few years with the Arizona Coyotes before making his way to the San Jose Sharks in 2021-22. He wasn’t anything special with any of those teams but San Jose traded him to Vegas in August of 2022 for a fourth-round pick.

Hill was the backup to Logan Thompson in the regular season but then he started the playoffs as the backup to Laurent Brossoit during the Winnipeg Jets series.

He took over in the second round against the Edmonton Oilers and was fantastic. As mentioned before, he rode that momentum all the way to the Stanley Cup Final where they won in five games.

Although he did benefit from an amazing team in front of him, he made some huge saves which are always needed in a run like that.

Hill would be a great stop-gap for Chicago now that he has his Cup and they need a goalie for the season to pair with Petr Mrazek while the two kids get ready in the AHL.
