The Chicago Blackhawks are getting ready for a very busy off-season. It is going to be a very fun week next week leading up to the 2023 NHL Draft.

Of course, Chicago is going to select Regina Pats superstar, Connor Bedard. For those who don’t know, Bedard is one of the most hyped-up prospects in the history of the league.

Because of this bit of luck that the Blackhawks had with those lottery balls, they need to take advantage. Bedard, although he’s seen as a generational talent, needs help to hit the ground running in the NHL.

It would be nice for the organization to not be as bad as they were in 2022-23. Someone that might be able to help him out is Tyler Toffoli.

Toffoli doesn’t want to sign an extension in Calgary and now he is going to be traded. The Hawks might be able to pull it off in a deal like this:

The Chicago Blackhawks may be able to get Tyler Toffoli for draft picks.

The Chicago Blackhawks could go for someone like Tyler Toffoli and only need to give up some draft picks.

They certainly won’t be moving on from a first-round pick for him because he only has one year left on his deal and he is entering his age-31 season.

It is a little bit different than the DeBrincat trade packages because of the fact that DeBrincat is much younger. However, Tofolli had a career year last year to be excited about.

That 2023 second-round pick was given to Chicago by the New York Rangers in the Patrick Kane trade. That and a future seventh-round selection make sense for Toffoli in a year that he can come in and help Bedard grow his game.
