The Philadelphia 76ers should be interested in trading for Zach LaVine

One of the league’s biggest dominoes to fall this offseason should end up being All Star guard James Harden opting out of the final year of his contract and entering free agency. Most of the rumors seem to state that Harden has a desire to return to the Houston Rockets and become part of their young, up-and-coming core.

If Harden leaves, that will open up a lot of salary space and a roster spot for Philadelphia to fill with another star player. LaVine would be a perfect fit for that team, too, allowing Joel Embiid to do his thing while being someone who can create for himself and facilitate for others.

For six years running, Philadelphia has endured a playoff exit that has gone no further than the Eastern Conference Semifinals. In fact, in five of those six seasons, it’s been the semis that has seen Philadelphia’s exit. Once, they were trounced in the first round.

More than likely, the Bulls would want a player like Tyrese Maxey in return for LaVine, combined with a first-round pick, if not more. Maxey is coming off a career year which saw him post averages of 20.3 points (43.4 percent from three), 3.5 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game.
