2. Ivan Barbashev

Ivan Barbashev is someone that the Chicago Blackhawks could use next year.

Ivan Barbashev was acquired mid-season by the Vegas Golden Knights from the St. Louis Blues. He has now won two Stanley Cups as the Blues won it in 2019 and then Vegas this year.

It has been a nice run for him. With all the time he spent with the Blues, he knows the Chicago Blackhawks quite well as he was on the other side for a while.

He also is familiar with the rest of the Central Division which is why he’d be a great fit with the Hawks going forward. He is an unrestricted free agent that earned himself a good amount of money with the way he played down the stretch.

Barbashev is the type of guy that could get a multi-year deal because he is only 27 years old and still a great player. If he signed with the Hawks, he could even find himself on a line with Bedard if everything goes his way.

That might be enticing enough for him to give it a try. If it isn’t with the Hawks, he will get a fair amount of money from someone which is exactly why the Hawks should if they can.
