2023 Chicago Bears Training Camp Dates: 3 stories to watch
The Chicago Bears still have a clear need for a legitimate pass rusher.
The Chicago Bears struggled to get to the quarterback during the 2022 NFL season and that would be evident by rookie safety Jaquan Brisker leading the team in sacks with a mark of 3.
Addressing the lack of pass rush is something that both general manager Ryan Poles and head coach Matt Eberflus have alluded to since the conclusion of the 2023 NFL Draft.
At this point, there does not appear to be an immediate rush to sign a pass-rusher and the veterans that are available likely are waiting until the start of training camp.
Still, the Bears adding a pass rusher either at the start or during their 2023 Training Camp seems like a formality.
The ceiling of that formality would be a trade for Washington Commanders defensive end Chase Young but the floor and a potential signing of a veteran such as Yannick Ngakoue appears to be more likely.
