3. Trey Mancini
The Chicago Cubs need to move on from Trey Mancini as soon as possible.
The Chicago Cubs made it a nice story when they brought in Trey Mancini. He is a great human being that guys love being around.
Unfortunately, he isn’t helping them win baseball games as he used to do for the Baltimore Orioles a few years ago.
The Houston Astros acquired him at the deadline last year and he was a bench piece for them en route to a World Series title but the Astros are much deeper than the Cubs.
The Cubs have other players that should be getting playing time more than Mancini. The man has a -1.1 WAR which speaks volumes about how bad he’s been for the Cubs this year.
Whether it is a designated hitter or a first baseman, the Cubs have much better options. They don’t need to be doing this anymore. A change of scenery might be good for him but the Cubs aren’t it for him.
