3 players the Cubs should move on from to save their season
2. Michael Fulmer
The Chicago Cubs should not be using Michael Fulmer anymore this season.
The Chicago Cubs have had some issues with Michael Fulmer in their bullpen. The rest of the crew isn’t that bad but manager David Ross has used Fulmer too much.
Fulmer has a negative WAR for a reason. His ERA is up to 5.74. He is 0-4 as a reliever which speaks to how bad he has been.
When he comes into the game, especially with a lead, Cubs fans need to hold their breath. If the organization was serious about winning, it would make sure to remove Fulmer as soon as possible.
No team with aspirations of winning would be letting him pitch in high-pressure situations. That goes for any point of the season but especially in mid-June when the lead for the division is within reach. They need to move on and save their season.
