The Blackhawks are two weeks away from Connor Bedard

The Chicago Blackhawks won the 2023 NHL Draft Lottery earlier during the playoffs. Connor Bedard is set to be their number-one overall pick.

On Tuesday night, the Vegas Golden Knights won their first Stanley Cup in franchise history so it is officially the off-season. They deserve their props for doing what they did but most fanbases move on right away.

Chicago fans are all in on Bedard as they should be. He is seen as a generational talent that is going to become a super-elite player in short order. There is a good chance that he is the most skilled player in franchise history.

Of course, although he could be even more skilled, it will take a lot more than that to be as successful as the stars that came right before him.

The Chicago Blackhawks are within striking distance of Connor Bedard.

We are now exactly two weeks away from the 2023 NHL Draft. It will take place in Nashville and the Hawks are going to select Bedard in one of their biggest rival’s buildings.

Last Saturday, we saw Bedard at the NHL Scouting Combine. He. participated in some off-ice training tests, took some interviews with teams, and spoke to the media.

We learned a lot about how good of a human being he is that day. We also learned that he is completely jacked which puts him ahead of most kids his age. That strength (and he is only going to get stronger) is going to help him in the NHL.

Now that the Stanley Cup has been awarded and we are exactly two weeks away, people can start getting excited about it.

Building through the draft is a great way to become champions which Blackhawks fans know from their most recent dynasty.

Getting Bedard is game-changing but we will also see them add other players that hope to help him reach that ultimate goal.
