The Chicago Bears 2023 season does not kick off for another three months.

General manager Ryan Poles used the offseason to upgrade a roster that went 3-14 last season. He acquired wide receiver D.J. Moore in a trade with the Carolina Panthers. He signed veteran guard Nate Davis and drafted tackle Darnell Wright to overhaul the right side of the offensive line.

He brought in two new starting linebackers in T.J. Edwards and Tremaine Edmunds. He brought in DeMarcus Walker and Andrew Billings to bolster the defensive line.

Ryan Poles must add another edge rusher. The offensive line could also use another veteran offensive tackle to tutor Wright and second-year left tackle, Braxton Jones.

Otherwise, Poles has acquired enough talent to win seven to 10 games depending on how quarterback Justin Fields can make another leap in his third season. Also, injuries will play a role in how many wins the Chicago Bears rack up.

The team is now in the middle of OTAs and there is still a mandatory minicamp. There is enough time for Poles to add some players between now and the start of training camp.

Hopefully, he does because there are still some position groups that lack impact players like edge rusher (or depth for that matter).

Although, the work Poles has done this offseason should add a few more victories from last season. The Chicago Bears have not won a game since October 2022. Getting a few more players in before training camp could be the difference between winning seven to 10 games.

If the season started today, here is how the final 53-man roster might shake out.
