Chicago Bears: Ranking the top 5 quarterbacks on 2023 schedule

Ranking the top 5 quarterbacks on Chicago Bears 2023 schedule: No. 2, Justin Herbert
Week 8 will feature a Sunday Night Football matchup between a pair of Justins. The Bears take on Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers in a road matchup, where two of the league’s youngest, rising passers will square off.
Herbert is one of those quarterbacks likely next in line for an extension, following the likes of Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts. Herbert knows it, too. This season will be his last before the Chargers will look to extend him on a monstrous deal, so he’ll be looking to cash in as much as he possibly can.
Over Herbert’s three seasons, he has yet to play the Bears, so this will be his first opportunity. Last season, Herbert threw for 4,739 yards, 25 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. It was a somewhat down year for the former Oregon standout, after throwing for 31 and 38 touchdowns in his first two seasons, respectively.
You can bet that Herbert will have a bounce-back year, especially after the Chargers added first-round wide receiver Quentin Johnston to go with Mike Williams, Keenan Allen and Austin Ekeler. He has no shortage of weapons at his disposal, so this will be a big test for Chicago.
