The Chicago Cubs have a few players that could end up being All-Stars this year. Major League Baseball started pushing the All-Star Game voting on Wednesday so it is getting close to that time of year.

The Cubs aren’t a powerhouse team so they probably aren’t sending a handful of players there as the elite teams usually do that during any given year.

For the Cubs, there are two guys that clearly deserve to be there. From the pitching side of things, Marcus Stroman is a clearly deserving person. He leads the Cubs in WAR right now and has two sensational starts in a row over great teams.

As of right now, Stroman is the ace of the Cubs staff and should be celebrated as such. We don’t know his future with the team but they might as well be excited about him while he is there.

The Chicago Cubs have two guys that could be All-Stars for them in 2023.

The other one is a position player and that is their second-place WAR guy right now, Dansby Swanson. Of course, Swanson signed the big contract during the off-season to leave the Atlanta Braves for the Cubs.

He left the team he won a World Series with to take a risk and play at Wrigley Field on a regular basis. So far, he has been a very good Cub. It will be interesting to see how his contract will age but he is nothing short of a great player right now.

It would be cool to see both of these guys represent the Cubs on one of the game’s biggest stages. They both deserve it. It would also give the Cubs fans someone representing them on the mound and in the field/at the plate.

They would both obviously get some playing time and it would be around some of the truly special players. Whether it is in the starting lineup via the fan vote or making it later on as a non-starter, these two should absolutely be there on July 11th.
