The Chicago Blackhawks could consider moving Connor Murphy at any moment.

Connor Murphy has been a very good player for the Chicago Blackhawks in his time. Unfortunately for him, his development and good play didn’t match up with the team’s contention window.

He still wasn’t fully developed when they acquired him and the team has only gotten worse as he has gotten better. To be honest, because of this, keeping Niklas Hjalmarsson would have been much smarter.

Murphy is a great player that many teams would want to add for the 2023-24 season. He can play well in his own zone and does contribute offense from time to time.

He has multiple years left on his deal so trading for him would be an investment and far from a rental. A team just might do it. We’ll see if his name is actually out there ahead of the draft.
