Chicago Bears included in latest odds to land DeAndre Hopkins
By Ryan Heckman
For the last few days, one of the biggest storylines in the NFL has been that of the Arizona Cardinals releasing 3-time All Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. Naturally, every team’s fan base immediately starts thinking about the possibility of signing such a highly-decorated player.
For the Chicago Bears, the odds don’t appear to be great. However, the latest odds according to PointsBet Sportsbook have, at the very least, added the Bears into the mix.

So you’re saying the Chicago Bears have a chance at DeAndre Hopkins?
Barely.
The Bears hardly have a chance at signing Hopkins, but at the very least, they are included in the latest odds. It’s highly unlikely, but it’s at least worth. noting.
Chances are, Hopkins makes his way to the AFC and joins a team like the Buffalo Bills, who are the current favorite, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
The one major takeaway, as Bears fans, is the fact that we do not see the Green Bay Packers on this list.
In years’ past, Bears fans would be used to seeing the Packers on any list like this. Of course, that was due to the simple fact that Aaron Rodgers was under center. Now, it’s the opening of the Jordan Love era.
No longer will the Packers be on lists like these, until Love can prove that he’s a top-tier quarterback, if that were to ever happen.
Now, on that same note, the Jets are third on this list and Rodgers could very well end up getting Hopkins as his bright and shiny, new target. As a Bears fan, that might still sting a little bit. But, thankfully, Chicago doesn’t have to deal with Rodgers twice a year any longer.
If the Bears were to, somehow, land Hopkins, then the Justin Fields hype train would be rolling off the rails. He already has a new WR1 in D.J. Moore, plus weapons like Darnell Mooney, Chase Claypool, Cole Kmet, Robert Tonyan, Khalil Herber, D’Onta Foreman, among others.
It won’t happen, but it’s sure a fun thought.
