Trade Number 2: The Chicago Bulls trade DeMar DeRozan to the Celtics

Here’s a deal that probably makes more sense if a couple of things are true. First of all, this would mean the Celtics are really going all-in on winning a championship next season. If they added DeRozan to play alongside Tatum, the Celtics would then have two of the most lethal fourth quarter scorers in the league.

Sure, Tatum isn’t as consistent at times, late in the game. But, when Tatum gets hot, he’s nearly impossible to stop. Then of course, there’s DeRozan, who is the king of the midrange and has the ability to own a fourth quarter on any given night.

The advantage for the Bulls, here, is the fact that they’d have an opportunity to extend a guy like Jaylen Brown, who is still only 26 and will be 27 next offseason when he’s a free agent.

The fact of the matter is, Brown has more growing to do. In Boston’s mind, they’re getting a veteran who is experienced and wants to win a title. If DeRozan goes to a team like the Celtics, he’d have the best chance at winning a ring as he’s ever had.
